楮（こうぞ）とは桑科の植物で、毎年収穫できます。一年で約３メーター位一気に大きくなって、和紙の主原料とも言える素材です。栽培が簡単で、全国各地（北海道など北の方は無理ですが）で栽培ができるので、和紙の代表的な原料として、江戸時代頃までは全国で楮（こうぞ）の紙が漉かれていました。 |
