| 薬剤を含むことで、若干紙が硬くなる。 |
| 顔料で和紙が色付けされている場合、色が流れ落ちてしまう。 |
| 染料で和紙を染めている場合、色止めされていれば、色が滲み出ることはない。（上記の青色は染料です。） |
| 撥水加工を施した紙には液が浸透せず、十分な不燃効果が得られない。不燃液が水溶性のため。 |
| 柿渋塗りの和紙は、不燃液と柿渋が反応し、硬く固まって、ポロポロと剥がれ落ちる現象が見受けられた。 |
